As the access market nears saturation, Verizon is looking for growth in new areas, including content creation, led by its AOL acquisition – vying with Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, etc. – as well as smart cars, which Verizon calls “telematics.” Verizon may also acquire Yahoo.
