    “The Burr/Feinstein draft text may in fact be so bad for privacy that it’s good for privacy: Privacy advocates point out that it has almost zero likelihood of making it into law in its current form.” That’s a dangerous thing to count on. :/

    Basically the government is saying we are too dumb to figure howcto crack the code so we will make encryption illegal. I heard FDR wanted to pass a similar bill against the Nazis encrypting thier messages but Hitler just laughed…
